Sunday it was time to take a tour of the city and surrounding countryside. Visalia is the oldest incorporated city between Sacramento and Los Angeles. Visalia is known as the gateway to Kings Canyon and Sequoia National parks. It is located at the base of the Sierra Nevada mountain range in the center of the San Jeaquin Valley which contains some of the richest agricultural lands in the world.
