Sept. 17, 2001

We woke up around 10:00 am this morning. Ashley went straight to her school work. I sat on the table and watched her work.
We went to Grey Advertising for an audition. Ashley saw some of her friends there. I'm glad I got a chance to see Ashley audition. It seems like fun!
Ashley and I got hungry so we voted on Chevy's for dinner. On our walk over, we passed Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum. I took my picture with a wax President Bush. He looked so real!
Ashley wanted to get home to watch, "Perfect Body." It's about the hardships of becoming a professional gymnast. I had another great day in NYC!

Sept. 19, 2001

Ashley worked on her math in the morning. Then I watched while she and he mother played scrabble. It is one of her favorite games!
After lunch we all went to the dentist. Ashley had to get her retainers adjusted. I got to sit in the chair with her. We got done just in time to make a voice over audition. I am starting to recognize the children! The children that audition see each other so often that it is easy to see how they become good friends.
On our way home we stopped at the store to buy the CD, "Glitter." The CD goes with Mariah Carey's new movie. Ashley can't wait to see it!

Sept. 20, 2001 - My Goodbye Poem

It's been a sad time for American people I know,
Yet I've seen the strength and love in people continue to grow.
The terrorists thought they'd bring down the people in this land,
but more united they continue to stand.

The heart of Americans is apparent here,
It is obvious what they hold very dear.
People willing to risk their lives to lend a helping hand,
Is the reason God will bless this land.

Visiting Ashley in New York has been fun,
I am almost sorry my time here is done.
But, I have so many places to go,
Friends that I have yet to know.
