Shirley is wearing an original
and tagged dress which shows some resemblance to the rare military outfit
Shirley wore in "The Little Colonel." The outfit I have
seen has a solid color dimity dress with a white sewn in jacket with two
dimity dots sewn on. The sewn in jacket has some pleating I believe. The
collars on the dresses are similar to each other. Patsy Moyer Modern Collectible
dolls volume IV has a photo of that dress. I am not sure if this one is
a variation and just missing some accessories or is just an unusual dress!
