This lovely composition Shirley is often called the "Hawaiian Shirley Temple doll" or the Marma doll by collectors. She has black yarn hair, painted features and is wearing her original hula skirt, lei, flowers in her hair, undies and shoes. Her back is marked "Ideal 13'. I believe her neck is marked "Shirley Temple, but it is hard to read. These dolls were made by the Ideal Toy and Novelty company using excess Shirley Temple parts. |
