This is a 17 inch composition Shirley Temple doll. She was made by the Ideal Toy and Novelty Company in 1936. Shirley is wearing the Texas Ranger outfit, made in honor of Shirley Temple being an honorary guest during the Texas Centennial celebration. The outfit was made for the 11", 17", and 27" composition doll. I particularly like the detailing on the 17 inch doll the best. The outfit was made for a 17 inch doll but is being worn by a 16 inch doll. She has great composition and lovely clear eyes.
