| Shirley is a prototype composition doll made by Ideal in the 1930's. She is marked inside her head. She is wearing a very pretty tagged version of the Stand up and Cheer dress. I have never seen this version before. It has almost a geometric design in it. A very unusual touch to this dress is that the slip is sewn to the dress. It is not a part of her undies as the usual onesies are done. Notice her original pin! Her eyes are perfectly clear and she does not have crazing. A wonderful example of a prototype doll! She is also wearing a tagged corderoy coat and hat from the movie Bright Eyes! It is a rare coat and hat and is fully lined! |
