Yes, this is really and truly an original composition Heidi dress! I finally did find one that was meant for me. Sometimes when I look at the dress, I am not even sure it is here. I have it on a very gorgeous doll, however, she is not original to the dress. The original Heidi had the braids and sewn part in the back. The bodice is black velvet with detailed embroidery. You can see a close-up of the bodice below. Notice the lovely lace on the sleeves and the peek-a-boo top. Her apron is a cotton fabric that as little lines and flowers. The apron trim is a very detailed embroidery. The skirt is a cotton with bright color stripes. She is sure an exciting find for me! Her wooden shoes and hat are not original. |
