Shirley is 20 inches and has dark eyeshadow. She is a make-up doll made in the later part of Ideal's composition doll era. She wears a rarely seen outfit believed to be from "Little Miss Broadway." Shirley wears this outfit at her birthday party in the movie. The blouse is a pink dimity and the jumper is a royal blue. The straps button, and are made of grosgrain ribbons. They have tiny pink checks on them. The jumper has a tie with tiny pale blue checks on the front. Like many of the later dolls, Shirley wears a large bow in her hair. Shirley is fully marked on her neck and body. She is a very rare find and in near mint condition. I purchased her from a very dear friend and Shirley Temple doll collector. |
